Arenastaden - for sports, shopping and events

Arenastaden in Solna will open in 2012. Scandinavia´s primary destination for events, sports, shopping and recreation will host the largest arena in the Nordic countries.

Arenastaden

Arenastaden will accommodate both the largest arena in the Nordic countries and Scandinavia's biggest shopping centre. It will also offer top-class office premises, with more than 10 000 workplaces, and homes for 5 000 people in around 2 000 apartments. Thanks to its central location, one third of the Swedish population can travel to the Arena in less than 90 minutes.

Swedbank Arena
Sweden's new national arena will also be the largest arena in the Nordic countries. Multifunctional and flexible, Swedbank Arena meets the UEFA's requirements for an arena and will be able to host finals in the Champions League and European Championships.

A large number of entrances will minimise queues. The seating will be comfortable and offer everyone a good view. The large digital screens and audio facilities will amplify the whole experience. The retractable roof makes it possible to open it during the summer and have it closed over the winter. Its design means that many different types of event can be held, for example on grass, gravel, ice, snow, different kinds of flooring and water. The Arena can accommodate international artists and kinds of sport that are normally held outdoors. It will also be possible to hold general meetings, congresses and fairs at the arena.

Mall of Scandinavia
Arenastaden is also proud to soon offer Scandinavia's largest shopping centre, the Mall of Scandinavia. It will be 100 000 square metres in size, spread over three floors. The Mall will house 230 shops, most being international flagship stores, as well as restaurants, entertainment, experience and recreation venues, and other services. This is in addition to 4 000 parking places, an extended commuter station, a new two-track line and two underground stations within walking distance. All in all, this will make the Mall of Scandinavia a truly complete alternative to central Stockholm.
